About.Robert T. Davidson, PhD (University of Wisconsin-Madison '98) has has been an Assistant Professor of Nutrition at Brigham Young University and an Associate Professor of Nutrition and Human Performance at Logan University as well as teaching graduate level Sports Nutrition online courses as an Adjunct Professor for University of Western States. Over the past 15 years Professor Davidson's academic research group has focused on creating a virtual human capable of simulating the effects of diet, exercise and environmental factors on human physical performance capabilities. To accomplish this they have created mathematical models and computer simulations of energy balance, body composition changes, effects of diet composition on body composition changes, muscle strength gain, cardiovascular fitness, energy storage and mobilization, etc. Along the way Professor Davidson became known amongst the students and faculty as THE person to go to for analysis and advice regarding body composition changes (losing fat and gaining muscle) and for nutrition education to meet those goals. Athletes and Fitness competitors in particular have sought him out to evaluate how to improve their dietary planning when things were not going as they might have expected. Professor Davidson is making the technology developed through his research available to help you as well.
